The 12th International Symposium “Czech Foreign Policy”: Building Sustainable Connections will take place in Prague at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic on October 8, 2020. The event builds on previous years of discussions, primarily on the 10th edition, discussing ‘rethinking the future’ and the 11th edition, exploring ‘fostering multilateralism’. The goal in 2020 is to build sustainable connections between various spheres, that would contribute towards finding more durable solutions, thus strengthening the collaboration of like-minded democratic nations seeking a rule-based world order.

The panels are going to explore topics related to sustainable development goals, mainly supporting human rights and stronger institutions (democracy, good governance, and rule of law), gender equality (and women empowerment), environment, energy security, the efficiency of foreign aid, non-traditional security threats (cybersecurity) and information war/propaganda. It is pertinent to discuss how to navigate within this complex environment and what roles there are for various stakeholders.
