Do you want to deepen your practical knowledge? Would you like to participate in organizing conferences? Or do you want to try the work of a researcher? The Institute of International Relations offers two forms of specialized internships. Both internships are designed primarily for university students and their graduates from the Czech Republic and abroad. Both internships are time flexible and last for several months.
The internships are unpaid, but the interns have basic technical background and free access to the IIR’s library.

Public Relations and Event Assistant
The PREA internship offers a wide range of marketing tasks. As a part of this internship, you will manage the social networks of the IIR, assist with the organization of conferences either directly at the IIR or at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, photograph, process materials for websites and generally support the Conference Service.
The PREA internship lasts 6 months and can be completed mostly from home. However, we expect our interns to participate in most of our conferences. The scope of work is 20 hours per week.
The selection procedure for PREA interns takes place twice a year in February and September.

Research Assistant
The main task of the Research Assistants is to support the activities of the IIR researcher, such as searching activity or proof-reading. Interns also participate in the preparation of reports from public events.
A personal mentor will be assigned to the intern and will accompany him/her throughout his/her internship.
The internship at the position of Research Assistant usually lasts for four months, with the possibility of extension for another two months.
Research Assistants get the opportunity to complete a part of their internship at a foreign embassy.
The selection procedure for the Research Assistant is held three times a year, in January, May and September.

We are currently looking for interns starting in June 2020.
