The historic city of Prague has recently hosted two major international security events. First, in April 2009 US president Obama arrived in Prague to announce his bold nuclear disarmament vision. In April 2010, Prague was chosen to host the summit of bilateral US-Russian nuclear arms control talks resulting in the signature of the New Start Treaty. The selection of Prague as a venue provides now a unique opportunity to take stock of the progress achieved so far in the two agendas.

With the participation of high ranked world representatives and renowned experts, the goal of the whole event is to explore both political and expert views related to disarmament, arms control, non-proliferation and nuclear security.
