Elif Naz Němec Associate Researcher

Elif Naz Němec is an associate researcher at the Centre for International Law of the Institute of International Relations. She studied Law at the Faculty of Law at Galatasaray University (B.A), Istanbul, Turkey, and she holds an LL.M degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s degree in public law from Istanbul Gedik University. She is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, under the Department of Environmental Law, focusing on the legal protection of animals in the context of climate change. She earlier worked as a research assistant in the Department of Public Law at Istanbul Gedik University, where she also chaired the Research and Application Centre of Human Rights. In the past, she also worked as a junior lawyer at Kabine Law Office in Istanbul. Her main research interests include human rights law, gender, environmental law, climate change and animal law.
