Tereza Plíštilová Researcher

Tereza Plíštilová is a researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague. Her work examines how political actors and the media construct and project narratives in international politics, with an empirical focus on the contemporary politics of the Middle East. Methodologically, she specializes in computational political text analysis, R-based text-as-data methods, LLMs and survey-based methods.

Within the IIR, she is a member of the Centre for the Study of Global Regions.

She is currently completing her PhD in International Relations at the Institute of Political Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. In her dissertation she investigates how protests in the Middle East are framed in global media. In the 2024/2025 academic year, she held a Fulbright scholarship at Princeton University.
