Tereza Plíštilová Researcher

Tereza Plíštilová is a researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague. Her work examines how political actors and the media construct and project narratives in international politics, with an empirical focus on the contemporary politics of the Middle East. Methodologically, she specializes in computational political text analysis, R-based text-as-data methods, LLMs and survey-based methods.

At the IIR, Tereza Plíštilová is a member of the Centre for the Study of Global Regions.

She completed her PhD in International Relations at the Institute of Political Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, in September 2026. In her dissertation, she examined, among other topics, how protests in the Middle East are framed in global media. In the 2024/2025 academic year, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship at Princeton University.
