Israel represents, without any doubt, one of the most important political players in the Middle East, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been for many decades one of the most salient issues of Middle Eastern and world politics. Several research projects carried out at the IIR touch on some aspects of these topics, while others inquire into the highly complex societies, cultures and internal politics of Israel/Palestine. The IIR researchers also analyse the rich and multifaceted relations between the Czech Republic and Israel/Palestine, as well as the Czech position on the peace process and its prospects.
