(ONLINE) EU-Israel Relations During the Czech Presidency of the EU

The Institute of International Relations Prague and Mitvim - The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies would like to cordially invite you to a discussion regarding EU-Israel relations in the light of current events.

7. 9. 2022 (15:00)

Language: English Online

The Czech Republic has taken over the presidency of the Council of the EU at a moment of global political upheaval. The Russian war in Ukraine has produced shockwaves throughout Europe and much of the world, while the continuation of the normalization process between Israel and Arab states has reshuffled alliances in the Middle East and is creating new axes of conflict and cooperation.

What impact will Russia’s War in Ukraine as well as food and energy crises that it spurred have on EU-Israel relations? Can the Abraham Accords provide a new avenue for advancing peace between Israel and Palestine and will they present a new opportunity for the EU in the peace process? What influence will the forthcoming renewal of the EU-Israel Association Council have on ties between the EU and Israel?

The Institute of International Relations Prague and Mitvim - The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies have the pleasure to invite you to a discussion of these and other issues that will have an impact on the future of EU-Israel relations.

The seminar will take place on Zoom, where participants may actively join the debate. The seminar will be recorded and will be live-streamed on our Facebook page. To participate, please register below.
