Clément Steuer is an Associate Researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague. His research interests include comparative politics of the MENA region, political party systems, social movements, and regime changes.

He is a member of the Centre for the Study of Global Regions.

He studied political science at Lyon 2 University (Ph.D.), Sciences Po Lyon (Ma.), and Sciences Po Toulouse (Bc.), in France. He has lectured at universities in Cairo, Paris, Lyon and Prague. He has worked as a researcher at the CNRS (France), the CEDEJ (Egypt), and the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He has been involved in an ERC-founded project, TARICA.
