Killed by algorithm? Autonomous weapons, AI and the future of warfare

We invite you to a short film screening and discussion that focuses on the topic of autonomous weapons and artificial intelligence (AI), exploring the risks associated with the development and use of such technology.

6. 6. 2023 (18:00)

Language: English Kavárna a Centrum Langhans, Vodičkova 707/37

Autonomous weapons, also known as killer robots, are a growing concern, as they are capable of operating without human intervention, potentially leading to unintended consequences and violations of international law. AI, on the other hand, has the potential to revolutionize various sectors, including defense, but also poses ethical and security risks. The event will address the need for international regulations including the proposed European legislation on AI and take a closer look at what governments can do about it.
