In memory of George Liska
George Liska, one of the most well known Czech IR researchers living in emigration, died on May 20. His texts, despite being very complex to comprehend, brought valuable insights which are worth being studied even today.
You can find this out for yourself by reading Liska´s last text which is exclusively published by the IIR.
You can have a look back at George Liska's thought by reading Petr Kratochvil's text “George Liska and political realism: on the tension between history and structure, and between norms and power“, which was published in the Journal of International Relations and Development (n. 10, 2007, pp. 97–121).
