Prague European Summit 2017

Now in its third year, the Prague European Summit (PES) is an annual event established to provide a platform for high-level strategic and open debate among government officials, political and business representatives, academicians and journalists on the future of the European Union in the context of current world affairs.

As a means to provide strategic solutions to key challenges in Europe, this year’s summit will seek to answer questions regarding political radicalisation in Europe, Brexit, energy security and the future of the single market.

Prague European Summit 2017 will host a wide spectrum of prominent speakers, including executive and deputy directors of research at well-known institutes around Europe as well as former European Commissioners and political advisors.

The conference is organized as an initiative of the Institute of International Relations, together with EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy and partners with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and the City of Prague, Visegrad Fund, European Commission and Czech Centres.

Date: June 13.6. - 15.6. 2017

Location: The conference will take place at the Lobkowicz Palace at the Prague Castle, one of the most prominent cultural sites in the Czech Republic as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another venue where the Summit will take place is the Czernin Palace, premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
